Project-Based Learning

Project-Based Learning (PBL) is an educational approach that focuses on real-world problems and challenges. It is centred around a specific project that students work on over an extended period of time. The project provides a context for students to apply their knowledge, develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and learn about a topic in depth. Through PBL, students are actively engaged in the learning process and are motivated by their own interests and curiosities. This approach also emphasizes collaboration, communication, and creativity, as students often work in teams to complete the project. In addition, PBL helps to foster a sense of autonomy and responsibility in students, as they are given the opportunity to direct their own learning and take ownership of their work.

We were asked to create a lesson designed for PBL . The design canvas below was shared with us by our lecturer - Michael Bennett - who translated from Conecta13. It allows us to brainstorm and give an overview of what the Project Based Learning experience will be.
